REVIEWS:
While we are in Austin, our hot hot hotta than hell Frisco connection Suzanne took us to Polvo’s, a Mexican restaurant with kick ass salsa bar and home pickeld jalepenos and spicy carrot. Suzanne got a plate named “Exotic Tacos”, so good and so big you won’t believe its only $3.95! I take the recommendation from the super friendly waiter Bernard, order the Shrimp Veracruzana ($9.99) with large peeled shrimp with mushrooms, tomatoes, cilantro, onions, and served with rice and house salad, never tasted anything like this before, creamy, sweet spicy and tangy, all the flavor blends in very well, hmmmm yummy! My girlfriend Young got the Fajita al Guajillo ($8.99)- tender sizzling al pastor, sautéed with sun dried peppers, grilled onions and poblano. Served with guacamole and sour cream, rice, charra beans, corn or flour tortillas, on an iron cast skillet. Being a Korean who has to have spicy food to digest her meal, she says the dish is not as spicy as the waiter said its gonna be, its something unusual that she said she have never try it before. Overall, since everything is bigger in Texas, the amount of food they gave us is freaking ginormous! Yea I love Austin! Keep Austin Weird!
RANTS & RAVES:
Warning: Sitting in the outdoor patio with 95 degrees temperature and drinking a big pitcher of frozen magaritas is a fantastic idea if you don not drink too much. In this hot temperature the alchohol got straight to your brain and that makes us misses the Million bats flying out from under the Congress Avenue bridge in downtown Austin. Damnit! Anyhow, bats can’t get drunk with you right? (maybe Batman but I would rather hang out with Suzanne)
