REVIEWS:
Once in awhile a girl needs to go shopping for new clothes, most likely cause she’s PMSing or gains some pounds while PMSing. I was in Union Square/Chelsea area looking for some new clothes; since we launched CheapAssFood.com 2 weeks ago I have (needless to say) gained some lbs on the job. While strolling around my belly started talking to me, telling how much I have neglected it for the passed 2 hours, then another voice from upstairs (brain) told me not listen the belly, because as we all know the belly is evil. The brain said I should hold off and eat a side salad after couple more blocks of cardio, then my eyeballs was like hay look a greasy spoon – I ve always wanted to try this place!!! Lets go the belly told me. This ends the same way every time my brain and belly argue because no matter how smart your brain might be, the visuals and gut is what keeps us animal living and procreating.
RANTS & RAVES:
Once in Eisenberg’s Sandwich Shop I was trying to be sensible, so I got the Manhattan clam chowder with a side of onion rings. I had to compromise. The chowder came first, and it tasted like it came out of a can, which I expected, the onion rings also tasted as I expected crispy, crunchy and oh so greasy. I was elated and enjoying myself very much as well as the counter dudes. So we chatted it up a bit, as he was making egg cream soda, I told him I never had it before and he was kind enough to make me a sample. Egg cream soda has no eggs in it so what s up with the name, and it has chocolate syrup in it, I don’t know it just tasted like chocolate syrup with soda water – sorta weird. I really like Eisenberg’s its been around since 1920, has a mellow crowd and it is pretty cheap. My soup was $3.50 and the onion rings around $3-4, I recommend eating at the counter when eating alone, who know maybe you too can score a weird ass soda for free.
