A friend of my forwarded an email with a link to this bar we have never been to, it read… "TPN 420 presents Blade Runner Tripadelic Pleasure Night has moved out on the Patio and on to the big screen. Tonight at 9pm: Blade Runner Man Has Made His Match... Now It's His Problem Free Movies ~ Free Wings ~ $2 PBRs ~ Groovy Tunes ~ Exploitation Flicks in the Bar ~" Free Wings and Blade Runner, it was destiny, I dragged my ass all the way to Long Island City on a journey for my wings. Took the 4 train from City Hall to Grand Central to the 7 train and got off the Vernon Jackson stop. Not a bad commute actually, recommend taking the metro over a car or bike.

RANTS & RAVES:

I get there and my friend is waiting but luckily he was in good company, 2 glasses of happy hour margaritas, unfortunately Happy Hour was over for me but pbr is 2 bucks at the Creek and The Cave, I was here for the wings anyways. At the bar, I asked for my wings and a confused look came over the bartenders face, "not till after the movie." ( dam should have called ahead ), ok no problem Blade Runner is playing for free and I'm in great company. During the movie we order a burrito as an appetizer, it was bad, but still in a good mood since my free wings are on their way. Once the movie ends I imagined a cattle call for the wings but no such luck, again asked the bartender about the wings, but she didn't know anything. It was at least midnight an hour after the movie ended and after the third time of asking for the wings for us to get the dam things. When we did finally get them, IT WAS COLD! I can go on and on about this, but in all honesty I really did enjoy myself. Sometimes establishments are off, not sure if I would go back thou, I know other reviewers go back couple of times just in case the restaurant had a bad day or something. I'll keep yall posted. Tip to the owner of Creek and the Cave: do not advertise that you have free wings when obviously you don't want your customers to have them. Tip to the CheapAsses: call ahead for event and food info.
