REVIEWS:
This place is another La Mian (Ramen in Japanese) place that the chef handpull your noodle per order in front of your face, kung-fu style. Except compared to the powerful bangin’ Master @ No Name Noodle Joint (see post http://www.cheapassfood.com/eats/show/19), this muscular dude is fast (despite his body mass), within 5 seconds the noodle is done, I can’t even open a Top Ramen package in that lightning speed, holey glory man! Plus he is pretty hot, in a gangsta-slash-shaolin-monk type of way. Leave good tips and don’t mess with this dude hombre! Another thing unique to this place is they have big tub of chopped fresh cilantro on the table. (compared to preserved Chinese vegetables) I love cilantro and I put a shitload of it into my La Mian and wham! The taste is so fresh make me wanna have another bowl.
RANTS & RAVES:
Our meal consists of The Roasted Duck Noodle ($4), the Beef Noodle ($4) and TWO Heineken ($2 each). Total 12 bucks. What more can you ask for? With that price you can only buy ONE cha-syu-ramen at Ramen Setagaya in East. Village. TIPS: They also have Stirred Fry Fresh La Mian Noodle and Fresh Eel soup that’s sounds very delish. We didn’t try that yet.
