Great Burrito Tex Mexican Food located at 100 West 23rd Street, NY, NY 10011, looks a bit small and beat up but looks like a place where I can buy a meal for less then 5 buck. I was in the mood for tacos but what have we here – Pizza, Heroes, Pitas, oh my. Really was taken back by the internationalness of the place. Though I was temped by the pitas, I got one al pastor (pork) and one-steak tacos for $2.25 each, a steal for New York standards. The el pastor was great had a subtle hint of Mexican goodness and the steak was plain and simple. With each other of taco comes with a slop of guacamole, hot sauce, onions cilantro and a side of lime. The portions are quite large I had 2 and it filled me up, though I admit could have had couple more.

Like this place for the following reasons. 1. The place was non-pretentious; it was a small hole in the wall, which was a Big hint that this place was going to be cheapAss. 2. Once upon arrival most of their patrons were speaking Spanish-Hello the food is going to be good, even the suit in front of me knew that.
