Our great cabbie contributor Nycdeep (http://www.cheapassfood.com/eats/show/136) and my friend Caroline both highly recommend this place so CAF got to check it out. The 53rd and 6th Chicken Stand is situated in the SW corner right across from the Hilton Hotel and only open at night, from 8pm to 4pm. We arrived at around 8:30pm and there’s no problem finding this Chicken Stand- the line is SO LOOOOONG! While we wait in line a young beautiful couple, Scott and Kimberly (hope I remember your names right) spot us and tell us how much they love our site! THANK YOU YO! This is the first time we are recognized in public since our beta launch 1.5 months ago. Awesome! So we were in line for over 20 minutes and finally got the $6 Combination Platter plate with Chicken, Lamb, Beef, Lettuce, Pita, Salad and Rice. They give you enormous amount of food and we struggle to finish it. The taste is subtle and light with hint of spices. I saw people loading up the sauces on the side of the truck and I follow. The sauce of your choice include- Ketchup, “Special White Sauce” that taste likes Ranch, BBQ Sauce and Hot Sauce. We regret that we put the first three items, too overpowering. However the Hot Sauce are great, WARNING! IT IS PAINFULLY HOT, just look at the pic. We found out that they have a website too and the slogan is “Are You Living The Lifestyle?” Hahaha! TIPS: 1. They only open at night from 8pm to 4am, but most of the time they ran out of food at around 2am. 2. Don’t confuse BBQ Sauce with Ketchup, they looks the same 3. According to Nycdeep, there’s another stand on the SE corner that is owned by the same people and the line is much shorter! 4. THIS IS THE BEST PLACE TO MEET HOT HOT HOT HOTTER THAN HELL INDIAN GIRLS! 5. WATCH OUT FOR THE LIQUID FIRE HOT SAUCE!
