There is a little window spot selling gum, sodas, and Vietnamese sandwiches, located Forsyth and Division literally underneath the Manhattan Bridge – just look out for the screaming Chinese ladies who want to sell you a bus ticket out to Pennsylvania. I don’t know if it’s the proximity to the crazy gangster, bus ladies or the fact that its 1/2 a block away from my lamb on a stick dudes, in any case d sandwiches are the boom!

So for those of you who have never had Vietnamese sandwich, you really missing out! Just think sweet and salty pork bits surrounded by picked carrots/daikon, slice of Vietnamese ham, on a crusty French roll. The key is the mixing of mayo and cock sauce and if you ask nicely they’ll put thinly slices of Jalapeños in it. Price range from $3.00-$3.50 in most Vietnamese stores/Restaurant.
