REVIEWS:
I must have walked by this place like a billion times, passed it without a thought, it is so small looked like newsstand. Rainbow Falafel is located on 26 E 17th St (between 5th Ave & Broadway) near Union Square where one can find many cheap eats however not great like this. I went during my lunch break so there was already a line forming, but luckily it moved fast, got the chicken shawarma($5.25 ?), and took it to the park. A great way to spend my lunch break and people watch but be careful not to seat next to the homeless guy, I did and he smelled like urine – I was asking for it. It was yummy, no not the homeless dude the shawarma but the chicken was on the dry side and a bit on the messy side so don’t forget to pick up a fork.
RANTS & RAVES:
couple of tips: do go to the park to eat the lovely food don't seat next to the smelly guy don't pay $12 for a salad next door at Chopt do laugh (inside) at the yuppie girls paying $12 for a salad
