I was waiting for my friend for dinner in East Village/Union Square and had some time to kill, so I decide to grab a beer around the area. I stumbled into Crocodile lounge, which was perfect, my stomach was grumbling a bit and I have heard that they serve FREE pizza with an order of beer – all day. I went right after happy hour (I think noon-6pm) so I had to pay $6 for a pint not bad, once you put in your order the bartender gives you a ticket for the pizza and give the dudes your ticket in the back. The same owners also run Crocodile as Alligator Lounge in Williamsburg, same deal- one beers gets you a meal. However the East Village location is somewhat trendier with 9-5ers unlike Alligator, which is a full hipsters. What can I say about the pizza it’s FREE, its no place for a pizza aficionado, however it is a place cheapass can LOVE.
