REVIEWS:
A little like home, Li Hua is a very modern restaurant with traditional home cooked meals. Taking pride in all the meals prepared they boast on the authenticity, freshness and tradition like any proud mom would. I was craving some a silken tofu soup other wise known as Sundubu Jjigae, by tradition this soup is made with seafood/beef sock but I opted for Kim chee. The soup came thick (stew like) and spicy, usually when severing this soup one would crack a raw egg over bubbling soup however I had it to go so it was already added. My first tasting was great very hot, with a slightly sweet and tangy taste, do to the kim chee. All my three banchan (side dishes) were very fresh and healthy tasting but could have used more. I am so spoiled by my mom; she usually has 8-10 side dishes waiting for me. Nonetheless the is food just like mom cooks, and the it is very affordable for Korean Eats in Manhattan.
RANTS & RAVES:
