Dallas Jones Bar.B.Q, located on the Greenwich Village is a tiny tiny St Louis style Bar B Q gem that can only seats 10 people max. Kenneth and I were feeling like BBQ because the last time we reviewed Georgia Eastside BBQ in Lower east Side (http://www.cheapassfood.com/eats/show/214 ), was how should I say… lackluster to say the least. Dallas Jones Bar B Q is in Greenwich Village, not to be confused with Dallas Bar B Q the chain. This place is definitely (in my book) one of “D” best New York Bar B Q!!! Hands down!!!!! (Excuse the exclamation I am very excited) I was going to eat light with one entrée with some sides, but was convinced other wise, DJ3 is a combination platter of half rack baby back ribs and quarter chicken $17.95 (rotisserie or fried) with two choices of sides. I got the baked beans and fresh spicy French fries. Kenneth went all out and got the BBQ beef ribs $18.95 also comes with 2 sides he opted for the collard greens and mac & cheese. OMFG, the plates were HUGE and in addition to our choices of sides came corn bread. My baby back ribs where cooked to perfection, nice slight crunch on the outside while the center meat is juicy and tender just the way I likes it and the dressing was a perfect harmony sloppy, sweet, and tart ketchup based bar b q sauce. The beef ribs where chard all around and yet was oh so buttery and juicy I could start to feel the fat mounting inside of me like a bad virus. They used beef short ribs with a very thick cut, which the meat stand alone on top of the bones for at least 1.5 inches high. It felt like eating a big piece of steak instead of ribs. Speaking of swelling the mac & cheese was so creamy and subtle it had to have been made with all butter and nothing else. Just writing about it makes me want to take a long ass nap. But must go on about the Dallas Jones Bar.B.Q … beside the wonderful and fatty food, the service was impeccable, though the dinning area only can fit about 8-10 max. Also noticed Dallas Jones mostly functions as a catering/togo place, but still sweet and romantic enough for dinner for 2 with good friends.

RANTS & RAVES:

Eat there today, it is a must for all you BBQ lover, you will not regret it, and we think it is cheap. The eat-it and delivery prices are different. For us eat-in the DJ3 is $17.95 compared to the take out menu's $16.95. And the beef ribs eat-in is 18.95 compared to delivery menu's $15.95. That's quite a difference. They also have lunch specials, if your not convinced to spend more then $10-20 on a meal. $7.95 will get you pulled pork sandwich/buffalo wings/chicken fingers/Chicken Caesar salad/pulled chicken sandwich with fresh French fries or baked Idaho potato and pink lemonade. They have booze, mostly beers, cost $6 a bottle definitely not cheapass. They also have a nice little wine list, but we think a cool lemonade or beer goes best with this kind of food. They delivery to these areas: West Village, Soho, Tribeca, Meat Packing District, Chelsea, East Village
