REVIEWS:
Every time I walk by Sheezaan I always see some security guards, meter mates, construction workers and all sorts of people in uniform eating here. That makes me so curious. Later on I found out this Bangladeshi real hole in the wall serves up some HUMONGOUS portion of food that can for sure feed two people for the price of one. Once you arrive you will have no clues how much the food costs since the price is all taped up. So we ask the sweet counter lady and find out that for $5 you get a choice of meat, two vegetables and rice. Alright! my favorite way of ordering! I heard their fish curry is excellent (all the patrons here highly recommended it) but too bad it all sold out. Bummer! So instead I got the Lamb Biryani, Chickpeas and Okra. First she scoops the rice and whow! Is she gonna charge me extra? That’s a lot of rice. Then she starts putting the lamb on top and I expect two scoops of lamb, which is normally how much you got. She gives me 5 SCOOPS OF LAMB! OMFG! Then she moves on to the vegetables the same situation, I ended up getting a 2LBS plate of food. This is crazy. Young got the Chicken with daal and mixed vegetables. Same situation. Crazy big portion! So how does it taste? The lamb and chicken are very good. The Okra is a bit slimy. The mixed vegetables are quite good and you really got a big variety out of it. The daal and the chickpeas are just normal stuff. Next time I will ask which one comes out the latest (or have the shortest shelf life) and I will order that.
RANTS & RAVES:
We arrived around 6pm and you can tell some food have been sitting there for a while. But the new food start coming out at around 6:30pm so that’s probably the best time to come. Nann is one dollar each. If you have a weak stomach beware since this is a real hole in the wall. They open till 4am
