Frankies is a sweet cozy little Italian-American bistro located in Carroll Gardens (also located in LES) opened by partnership of 2 pals (both) named Frank, Castronovo and Falcinelli. A neighborhood favorite, these 2 Frankie’s have managed to keep novel yet traditional menu by incorporating fresh ingredients with classic recipes. Just by the look of the interior I was skeptical to think this palace to be affordable, but found looks can be deceiving , every item on there menu are reasonably priced and did not skimp on the portions. Got to sample their brunch menu, pancetta and onion frittata with side salad and a nice glass of pinot grigio to wash down my hearty dish. My friend on the other hand sampled a sweeter side of brunch 2 large French toast with side of fresh cut fruit and coffee, a perfect paring. The slice of frittata seems small but it was filling and the large chunks of pancetta really filled me up and the French toast was perfect, lightly battered with egg and toasted crisp and not soggy.

RANTS & RAVES:

A little trendy yet casual, interior is a mixture of brick-wrapped wall and dark wood, also out door sitting a plus. Didn’t bring back a menu with me but everything coast around $6-$15 and my glass of pinot grigio (ca) was $6. The website has a menu but not the brunch prices.
