REVIEWS:
Guilty pleasure to say the least Crif Dogs located on 113 St. Marks Pl. is definitely a treat for those on a drinking binge and for those sober. They actually have ”cheapass” specials: 1. 2 crif + soda $5.25+tax 2. 2 NYer +soda $4.75+tax 3. 1 crif + 1NYer +soda $5+tax 4. 2 veggie+soda $8+tax Not sure if that is in homage to our site but we take the credit any ways, I was a cheapass on Saturday night and spilt a #1 with Kenneth. Absolutely if you’re a pork or meat or mystery meat connoisseur I would highly recommend getting the crif dog. Not only is it deep-fried but it is handmade and naturally smoked, I could really tell the difference, a nice bite in every bite and the flavor was no generic hotdog taste one would find with the NY hotdog vendors. No this had a real pork flavor that resonated in each bite.
RANTS & RAVES:
I could go on and get poetic and shit but I recommend you try it for your self, skip all the fancy dressed up dogs they have on the menu it’s over priced and fanciful - go for the CheapAss. Your Ass will thank me! They also have a hidden tiny bar next door (like those 8 persons bar in Tokyo) that you have to use a telephone to call in to see if there's seat available. Too gimmicky for me but maybe you will like that.
