REVIEWS:
If your looking for authentic Korean BBQ in New York Nam ā O ā Jung is a must, located 160-13 Northern Blvd, between 160th and 161st Sts Flushing. I went for the first time to try their traditional fair along with some bbQ (charcoal grill). Found many meat lovers favorites, galbi, bulgogi, chicken, spicy pork, seafood and beef tongue to list a few, but we suck with the classics. One order of short ribs/garbi ($24), spicy pork ($20), and spicy fish soup cooked in clay pot ($14) all the dishes do add up but not uncharacteristic of Korean eatery ā unfortunately. With that said you do get what you pay for, the portions are huge well over 1 lbs of meat and comes with side dishes. Our meal came with kimchi, fishcakes, seaweed salad, dykon, and cucumber salad. But the real reason why this eatery is unique experience is the charcoal grill, if Iām not mistaken the only indoor charcoal bbq of the boroughs. When cooked with the charcoal the meats have more of a smoky flavor and chars crispier making it a must for all you bar-b-q hobbyist.
