Balmy summer days were made for us to go to the Bohemian Hall & Beer Garden in Astoria. Nothing is more perfect to drink outdoor under the tree shades and chowdown the grilled Kielbasa ($8 no sides/ $10 with Fries) and Hamburgers ($10 with Fries). What make this place perfect is the Great European beers selection on tap includes Krusovice light and dark, Staropramen, Czechvar, Brouczech, Erdinger, Hoegaarden, Stella and Spaten, all $14 a pitcher in weekdays. Really, where else in the city you can get Original Budweiser (Czechvar) on tap? The outdoors is great especially when it’s accompanied with great drinking buddies and sticky tables to rest your arms and food on. So I ask you why head home after work I suggest taking a nice cool subway ride to Astoria for a little happy hour/night cap sure beats blasting the AC and staring at the four walls.
