REVIEWS:
When economy goes thumb down, comfort food goes thumb up. Housed in a 50’s soda fountain façade, the new Burger Shoppe in Wall Street serves up some tiny but tasty burgers for all the credit crunchers. For a basic $4 “Shoppe Burger” you got a Char-grilled beef burger with cheese, lettuce, tomato and Shoppe sauce. The meat is in high grade quality and taste like steak. The texture of the burger is very "meaty" in a way that seems like they mixed some hand-chopped meat into the already ground meat. After reading their website my mind is instantly clear, they got their ground beef from Ottomanelli & Sons on Bleecker Street! The butchers there are famous for WYSIWYG freshly ground meat daily (not to mention the BEST MEAT you can buy in NYC)! The fully charred 4oz patties is medium thick (like In-n-out or Blue 9) so don’t expect it to be super juicy. The burger is tiny (slightly bigger than a slider) therefore we think the $10 Real Deal is the best Cheap Ass option- you got Two Shoppe Burgers, Fries or Onion Rings (delicious) plus a can of Soda.
